Speak: Find Your Voice, Trust Your Gut, and Get from Where You Are to Where You Want to Be
From Tunde Oyeneyin, the massively well-liked Peloton teacher, health star, and founding father of SPEAK, comes an empowering, inspiring ebook about how she remodeled grief, setbacks, and flaws into progress, self-confidence, and triumph—good for followers of Shonda Rhimes, Brene Brown, and Glennon Doyle.

On any given day, 1000’s of devoted folks clip into their bikes and have their lives modified by Tunde Oyeneyin. From her platform in a Peloton studio, she encourages riders together with her trademark mix of positivity, empathy, and motivational “Tunde-isms,” to push themselves to their limits each on and off the bike. Now, followers and readers in every single place can find out about her private journey, and uncover how they can also “reside a lifetime of objective, on objective” with Converse, a memoir-manifesto-guide to life impressed by her immensely well-liked Instagram Dwell collection of the identical title.

Taking us via every step of the SPEAK acronym—Give up, Energy, Empathy, Authenticity, and Data—Oyeneyin shares the teachings she has realized about loss, love, physique picture, and the way she has efficiently created an intentional, joyful life for herself, providing an accessible blueprint for anybody trying to make a constructive change of their lives.

Peloton has changed my life. I have been doing Tunde’s arm workouts for a while now. She is so bold and beautiful and there was no doubt that I would pick up her book. I of course enjoyed reading about how she got her start at Peloton. She discusses her journey, tragedies, lessons learned, etc. Anyone unhappy with their job, unsure of what their next move should be, will be able to relate. I enjoyed reading her story and have so many lines highlighted in the book. I admire her so much!

First, I listened to this book, narrated by the author, and I highly recommend doing so. This is an inspirational book that anyone should listen to, but I do wish I had read it in my 20s, having experienced career uncertainty and loss. One need not ever have gotten on a Peloton bike to enjoy this book. I anticipate great things from her in the future, too.

I am in recovery from a heroin addiction for over 15 years now. I have tried all different exercises, diets, etc. throughout my recovery. I have now been a member of Peloton for about a year and I feel at home. I ride for my mental health and my recovery. Tunde is one of my fave instructors, that is why I bought this book. Then to read about her story and her body image challenges, I LOVE her even more!! This book is a great, heartfelt read. I love reading real and authentic stories as well as seeing women achieve their goals in life. Thank you, Tunde!!

You show up and write a review! I love Tunde’s classes and the content she brings to her social media. I’m so glad she took the opportunity to write this book and give others a chance to know her better. And the magic of Peloton is she is exactly who I already thought she was, if not even better. Because she’s so real on her rides and on her Instagram I read the book hearing her voice the whole way. A great read!

This book has 12 main chapters, and about 214 pages. In the Introduction, Oyeneyin recalls the moment she had an epiphany about what she wanted to do in life. She saw her goal of teaching others to ride, and pursued it. She explains her acronym S.P.E.A.K. : Surrender, Power, Empathy, Authenticity, Knowledge; and what those five pillars mean to her. Each of the chapters in the book are related to one of Oyeneyin’s five pillars. For example Chapter 1 – The Perfect Dress is highlighted as an “Authenticity” chapter. Here she discusses a few events in her life related to body image and being yourself. Chapter 2 – A Life of Purpose is an “Empathy” chapter, where Oyeneyin recalls some early jobs working at a make-up counter and bonding with her customers. It is not all happy memories however, as in the next chapter she discusses the painful tragedy of losing her younger brother at age 19.In each chapter, as Oyeneyin recounts events from her life (which is full of uncommon situations and lucky coincidences), she uses her stories to illustrate a bit of wisdom about how to live a purposeful and fulfilling life. Even though her path might be very different from yours, there are certain ideas and concepts that can apply no matter what your goals are.Overall I mostly enjoyed reading this book. Many of the life lessons that Oyeneyin shares seem to be filled with wisdom and sound advice, even if some of them might be more obvious than others. The book feels like more memoir and less instruction manual, so if you are aware of that in advance it shouldn’t be disappointing. You don’t have to be a fan of hers (or even know who she is at all), to appreciate some of her “Tunde-isms”. Even if you don’t find the advice very helpful, it is at least somewhat entertaining to read part of her remarkable life story.

Everyone, I repeat, EVERYONE should read this book. I picked it up because Tunde is one of my favorite Peloton instructors, but I got so much more out of it than I’d ever expected. I enjoyed it as an audiobook but purchased a hard copy to mark quotes and passages that I wanted to remember.Tunde is a force and she has an exceptional way with words. I take her rides when I want to be inspired, pushed and challenged. “Your mind is your strongest muscle” is a quote of hers that’s become part of my daily mantra. In her book, Tunde amplifies her motivational speaking tenfold, explaining how she manifested her own destiny and giving readers the tools they need to do the same. Her story is both tragic and inspirational. She had me reassessing my priorities, believing in myself, and setting new goals as I read. Not a Pelotoner? Doesn’t matter. Read it anyway. You won’t regret it.💚 🅡🅔🅐🅓 🅘🅕 🅨🅞🅤 🅓🅘🅖:-Memoirs-Inspiring true stories-Peloton/Tunde-Makeup-Family-Motivational quotes⚠️🅣🅦:-death-cancer-abuseBechdel test: ✅

Tunde truly had a story to tell and I am so glad she was given a platform to SPEAK and share her voice. I laughed and cried as I read each page. But most important I took away a new found motivation to get unstuck and settled. I don’t read often and only bought this book because I love all things Peloton but once I started reading I could not put this book down. Now I hope to find my voice so I can SPEAK.

This is a beautiful mirror to life’s challenges and the power we all hold within ourselves to navigate the hard stuff and the good stuff. It all begins with taking that first step with ourselves, for ourselves. Tunde’s story resonates because of her authenticity AND her vulnerability. But also because it could be my story, it could be your story. Thank you Tunde for sharing your strength and your joy with us. Beautiful!

I pre- ordered this book and was able to actually meet Tunde on her tour. Her story is so amazing so encouraging. Gives you a perspective of resilience of how you can keep going. So many people have a story I am appreciate of her boldness and strength to share so many deep moments, tragic moments. I too lost my brother in 2018, and my father in 2020. How to find it and appreciate it. Through stories of body image, love, loss, death, race, failure, success and so much more she weaves the story of her life in a way that all of us can relate to and learn from. I will continue recommending this book to everyone I know. So so incredibly good.

However, I would recommend this even to people who don’t know her or anything about Peloton. Her story is inspiring – and I’m not lying when I say I laughed and I cried! Throughout the book you’re expecting a motivational speaker and there was a lot of that but it comes from a place of honesty with a some heartbreak mixed in. Sometimes you don’t understand how some people become so wise and confident because you want to emulate that. This book explains how Tunde has managed that. I took Tunde’s peloton ride on a whim because of the music but I stayed for her energy. When I saw her book I knew I had to read it. It’s a quick read about her life, life experiences and sound advice.
