This book is so timely & so needed. As a black woman surviving (not thriving) in the workforce, I haven’t always gotten the support I needed. Often, this is because so few look like me in leadership positions. While I don’t always get the support I need, I have vowed to become the support for other black women n the workforce. This book has given me some valuable tools for myself & others I may mentor. As a mental health expert, Dr. Wilborn brings helpful information to the table. As women & especially black women, we’re quick to neglect ourselves for others. This is not healthy & quite dangerous. We must take care of ourselves!!
