The cities of Brooklyn Park and Brooklyn Center, and the Osseo Area School District are partnering to host a first-of-its-kind event to promote community enlightenment and racial healing. The Racial Healing Initiative event features speaker Yusef Salaam, one of the Exonerated Five in the 1989 Central Park jogger rape case. The event, which includes a free community dinner, takes place from 5-9 p.m. at Brooklyn Center Community Center.
