The title itself encapsulates the essence of the story. It’s a tale that delves into the darkest depths of a person’s soul, probing at the vulnerabilities, fears, and traumas that often remain hidden. The narrative introduces us to a man who has been shattered by life’s challenges, and we are invited to witness the fragments of his existence slowly coming together. The author’s storytelling prowess is undeniable. Each word is carefully chosen, and the narrative is crafted with precision. The characters are richly developed, evoking empathy and connection from the reader. As we follow the protagonist through his journey of despair, hope, and self-discovery, we can’t help but become emotionally invested in his path to healing. One of the book’s standout features is its ability to navigate the complexities of the human psyche. It doesn’t shy away from the darkness but instead offers a beacon of hope in the form of group therapy. The author skillfully demonstrates the transformative power of shared experiences, support, and the strength of the human spirit.

“Group Therapy: What does it take to break a man? How will the pieces come back together?” was quite the emotional journey. The story of Steve Coleman being sucked into the corporate world felt too real. Many of us have experienced demanding jobs, but what happens to Steve… that’s an intense ride. The way the author portrays mental health challenges really got me thinking and feeling. What I liked was how Steve found solace in unexpected places. They showed that healing can come from the most unexpected corners of life. The dialogue throughout the book was pretty spot-on and I felt like I was right there with the characters.

This tale charts an unfiltered voyage of a man tested by life’s harshest realities. The narrative pulls no punches, revealing the underbelly of human experience often overlooked. It’s easy to forget the silent battles waged by those beside us daily. Many of us face our own descents, yet it’s the rise after the fall that truly defines us.

This book follows the wild journey of the main male character. And as the author said, the journey is not for the faint of heart. But what I love is how raw and real the story is. Life is not always pretty and for some it can be much worse. We don’t always witness the turmoil, trauma and fall of people that may be living, working or literally standing right next to us. We, ourselves, may have/are fallen/falling, but the beauty in all things is being able to get back up.

Anybody who has faced the darknesses that the corporate world may have sometimes will understand and enjoy this book to the teeth. It is a tough and complicated story but it is not fiction at all it is the brutal reality that some people face being in the corporate world and unfortunately, the hits and betrayals somebody faces in that world can lead them to have the most horrible thoughts you can imagine.HIGHLY recommend this book!

In this engaging tale, Steve Coleman’s journey from a rural setting to the bustling city offers a deep dive into the allure and perils of corporate life. Initially drawn to the vibrant cityscape and the promise of a better job, Steve soon finds himself ensnared in the trappings of corporate politics and a boss from hell. The story takes a heart-wrenching turn when Steve hits rock bottom, but it’s here that the narrative truly shines. His path to recovery, aided by a mental health therapy group and a roleplaying gaming community, is both touching and relatable. The author’s empathetic tone and conversational style make Steve’s journey feel incredibly real. While the corporate drama might feel a tad familiar, the book’s exploration of healing and community is its true strength. Dive into Steve’s world and witness a tale of resilience, recovery, and the power of human connection.

Having left the rural life for the big city, the protagonist gets wrapped up in video games and ultimately has transformational experiences that resemble group therapy, keeps turning the pages and evolving th plot till the very end. It’s brutal at times but a realistic reflection of life as well
